Writing on Film This is an advanced writing course, concentrating on expository prose, with a focus on writing on film in a variety of modes: film reviews, critical essays, reflective essays, panel discussions.

Requirements: 1. Regular attendance and participation in class 2 Weekly writing assignments to be submitted electronically the Monday before class on Wednesday. 3. Assigned screenings, including two of the four screenings on October 25 and 26 of the work of Korean director Sangwoo Lee, who will also be on campus and speak to us. 4. At least two films in the Classical Chinese Film Series. 5. One take-home mid-term exam 6. One take-home final exam.
