We will invite renowned local and international scholars to give academic speeches. Subjects of speeches are current research topics on financial market, corporate finance, novel financial products, and methodologies in finance. This course is aiming to provide students a better understanding of the leading and current research topics of various fields in finance. The students will have a chance to discuss with the speakers.

1. Participation 10% 2. Feedback to peers' presentations: 20% One page summary for each peer's speech, including the pros and cons. 3. Paper Summary 20%: One page summary for each academic speech 4. Presentation 50%: All students who have passed the qualifying exam are required to present their research proposals; Other students need to select one paper to present in class (30 minutes in English)
