Course Description: The goal of this course is to provide a solid understanding of international marketing using cases and decision making tools. The textbook provides cases and theories that demonstrate how global marketing works and how it relates to real decisions around the world. The case studies focus on globally recognized brands and companies operating in a number of countries. The main objectives of the course are: 1. To discuss cases that show how international firms make decisions and implement strategic plans. 2. To help you to develop international marketing team skills. 3. To provide an opportunity to collect international market data for analysis and interpretation.

Pedagogy and other supplementary information (websites, TAs, handouts and/or databases): The course will use a combination of lectures, guest lectures, case discussions, and exercises. Additionally, a course project provides students with the opportunity to integrate the marketing cases and problems discussed in class. Students are expected to prepare for each class as outlined by the class schedule. The final project will allow you to experience international marketing from problem definition through writing and presenting a professional report.
1. Homework and Assignments: Assessment 1: 30 points (the mid-term in- class exam) Assessment 2: 10 points (the term project - oral presentation) Assessment 3: 30 points (the term project - written report) 2. Exams and Quizzes: 3. Evaluation and Grading Policy: Class Participation: 30 points (Note: for homework and attendance, missing class without prior and official absence notification, 5 points will be deducted each time.) Final Report: Students will be asked to individually complete a term project report (3000~4000 English words, not counting references, footnotes, and appendices) based on concepts, techniques, and tools introduced during the lectures and tutorials. The report must follow American Psychological Association format style.
