Freshman English I is an integrated course designed to develop students’ four skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) with an emphasis on speaking and listening. In this course, students will: * Identify listening problems and develop listening strategies and skills, * Gain confidence in speaking and improve speaking fluency, pronunciation, and conversation strategies, * Develop general reading skills, including word skills and comprehension strategies, and * Develop writing fluency.
