不論在日常生活中還是在工程實務中,都經常會遇著或用得上機率與統計的觀念。本課程目的特在介紹工程領域常用到的機率與統計觀念,使學生能熟悉這些觀念,以有助於其在工程領域(以及其他領域)的進一步研習。 Probability and statistics concepts are frequently encountered in daily life and in engineering practice. They are also very useful in these arenas. This course is particularly intended to introduce probability and statistics concepts commonly used in engineering work. This is to familiarize the students with these concepts for their benefit in further study in engineering (or other subject areas).

(1) 課程進行方式預定包括課堂講授、作業、及考試(含小考及期中期末考)。 The course will be conducted as a regular lecture course. There will be homework assignments and several exams (including quizzes as well as midterm and final exams). (2) 評分方式於第一堂課及講義中公佈。 Details of the grading method will be described in the course notes and announced during the first lecture.
