Course profile : This course aims to introduce fundamental management functions including planning, organizing, leadership, and control. Also, the course will cover some contemporary management issues such as organizational culture and environment, globalization, innovation and change. Course purposes: (1) This course is designed to provide students a systematical and integrated view of the following management functions: planning, organizing, leadership, and controlling. (2) Application: In addition to the textbook, this course will include case study, field research, and guest speaker speech to help students understand how to effectively practice the above management functions.

(1) Structure: .Homework and class participation:20% (Classroom performance: 10 % + Attendance 10% (perfect attendance :10 Point,each absence: -1 point,two time of late or leave early: -1 point)。 .Exams: 60% two mid-term exams and one final exam.(The scope of the examination:four chapters/ each exam,mostly multiple choices question, true/false question, and blank filling question) .Group project:20%嶡Oral presentation: 10% + Paper report: 10%) (2) Grading .Mid-term exam I:20% .Mid-term exam II:20% .Final exam :20% .Homework and class participation:20% .Group project:20%
