概述

This course (1) introduces various problems subject to uncertainty in different disciplines of civil engineering; (2) teaches students the basic skills to tackle engineering design problems involving uncertainties; and (3) trains the students to be able to conduct risk-based design and management for engineering system by considering trade-off of project cost, failure probability, and failure consequence.
