This course aims to provide students with HCI related study about theories and thinking foundations in regarding to the research issues of the immersive mediated environment. The major research issue of this semester is “Gamification.” Based on theoretical foundation, students (by individual or by group) in this class will be required to investigate and to develop tools to facilitate collaborative design activities. A final report of the tool testing results in publication format is demanded for the completion of this class.
Introduction to Human-Computer Interaction User Experience Design
Students are expected to complete the weekly reading assignments prior to the class meetings. Please see below for the weekly readings. If you expect to miss class or arrive late, please let the instructor know in advance. Only TWO absences are allowed.
All assignments in this class are individual projects 1. Required readings & class attendance (15%) 2. Design Research (20%) 3. Design & Development (35%) 4. Final project and Study report。(30%)
