概述

本課程為碩士班討論課程,旨在探討傳播與全球化的關係,課程分兩大部分:(一)傳播全球化的基本概念:cultural imperialism, cultural proximity, glocalizatoin, hybridity, narrative transparency, tie-ins, NICL, contra-flow, media capital, TV format trade, nation branding, mediascape, cosmopolitanism等。(二)傳播全球化的最新現象:Bollywood, Lusophone media, Korean Wave, Cool Japan, China’s going global, migrant and communication等。 修課學生應熟讀每週指定教材內容,於上課前預先繳交閱讀心得、輪流帶領課堂導讀,並於期末完成一篇報告。透過教材閱讀、上課討論與指定作業,本課程期待學生能充份了解傳播與全球化的重要議題、理論與實例,並運用於媒介現象的反思。

評分方式

1. 每週閱讀摘要與提問(40%): 簡述當週指定論文各篇的重點及你的評論或延伸想法,約500-1000字即可(word檔),每週三11:59前上傳e3,共8次。 2. 導讀(30%): 2人一組合作,於課堂上導讀當週指定論文的重點,並提出至少2個可討論的議題(ppt檔),每周四7:59前上傳e3。 3. 期末報告(25%): 可以是研究論文(research paper),也可以是分析性文章(essay),但主題必須與傳播全球化相關,並應用到課堂上學過的理論,約5000-7000字(word檔),?於6/14以ppt報告。2個檔案均於 6/10 23:59前上傳e3。 4. 課堂參與(5%):含出席與參與討論。
