教學實習(語文領域/英文)

In the second half of this course, we will shift our focus from theories to practice. All in all, you, as a future English teacher, will be given chances to ? Learn how to teach four skills, listening, speaking, reading, and writing in an effective and efficient way. ? Immerse in real classroom experiences by observing junior/senior high teachers during the class observation voyage. ? Understand the construct and content of a test with hands-on experiences. ? Teach on simulated occasions

修過 Subject-related Teaching Materials & Methods (English),對英文教材教法有初步認識,對實行所學有相當興趣及熱忱。

學期作業、考試、評量 1. Attendance & participation 15% Your active involvement, either individually or in groups, is highly valued and concerned. Punctuality is of great importance in this course. If you miss more than 2 classes without proper excuses, you are unlikely to pass. 2. Learning Journal 10% You will write feedbacks/ reflections on your learning on a B5-sized notebook in class. 3. Simulated teaching 20% In this semester, everyone has 2 chances to practice teaching on simulated occasions. Your teaching sessions will be recorded for review. Your lesson plan, including the teaching materials, worksheets, etc, should be uploaded the day before your teaching demonstration. 4. Speech Report 20% You will listen to 2 keynote speeches in this class and will hand in the reports no later than 3 days after the speech. Each report accounts for 7% of your score. You are encouraged to listen to more TESOL related speeches and write reports to win bonus credits. 5. Class Observation Voyage Report 30% You will have 3 weeks to observe an incumbent teacher in action. You will observe at least 5 hours of his/her teaching and teach for one hour. Your COV report should contain: 1) Your COV plan. (The format will be given later.) 2) Three class observation reports. You are encouraged to add some photos with the teacher’s permission. The length should not be more than 2 pages (Times New Roman, font 12). The reports should be uploaded on a weekly basis by the Sundays from 5/21-6/13, with the links posted on FB. 3) Your lesson plan, including the teaching materials, worksheets, etc, uploaded no later than 6/13 (Wed.) 5. FB Post and Feedback 5% Join the discussion group”英文教材教法2017 Fall, NCCU” on Facebook. You are encouraged to post and share TESOL ideas on FB. You will learn from your peers by reading their reports/feedback and giving feedbacks as well as appreciation. 6. Portfolio At the end of the semester, glean all the academic works (FB report, feedback, class observation voyage report, speech report, etc.) and upload them to the designated Google Drive by 6/15.
