本課程是以微積分為基礎的物理學導引及介紹,考慮到修課學生高中物理之基礎,內容: 1. Classical Mechanics: object length l << atomic size;velocity v <<c; kinematics and dynamics; translational, vibrational, and rotational motion 2. Vibrational and Wave Phenomena: specific types of repetitive motions. 3. Thermodynamics:heat, work, temperature, entopy, statistical behavior of a large number of particles. a. It is required. b. It is the base of all science. Examples: car designer, electronic control, biology c. It is a basic training for your research career. Someone may find new phenomena from experiments while someone cannot. d. It is the common sense of your everyday life. e. To understand the structure of physics and to be able to apply it to your expert field.
