入門華語(四)

(Course Description & Objectives): Students are expected to master Chinese pronunciation, familiarize with basic grammar and high frequency words so as to conduct basic conversation with fluency.

Finish “<A Course in Contemporary Chinese> I: Lesson 12~15 NOTE: Students who attend from the start will have priority to be accepted.

Reminders: 1. For effective learning, students are required to hand write the vocabulary (Chinese characters) in every lesson for multiple times to achieve familiarity. 2. Regular attendance is required, and students who have more than 5 unexcused absences will be failed. A total absence of 1/3 of course hours will lead to an automatic failure.

Evaluation: Attendance and Participation: 30% Homework and Quizzes: 30% Midterm Exam (oral and written): 20% Final Exam (oral and written): 20%
