This course is to introduce the principles of color technology and their applications in design of multimedia devices. The color technology covers human vision system, color matching, colorimetry, color space conversion, and measurement etc. The understanding of these principles can lead to a better color and image performance in the design of color image devices, such as digital camera, printer, and LCD display, etc. The design theory, system architecture, digital color image processing, and image quality evaluation for individual device will be the emphasis of this course. The current development in the LED white light illumination will also be discussed.

1學期作業 教科書閱讀報告,課程相關作業。 2.考試狀況 期中考一次,期末專題報告一次。 3.評量方法 – Homework (30%) – Mid-term (open book) (30%) – Term paper and Oral presentation (40%) – Text book reading (extra points)
