概述

This is a basic level course to provide students with the fundamental knowledge about the properties of an accelerator based light sources and its applications. The theory and experimental methods in diffraction/scattering and spectroscopy and their applications in various research fields will be covered. The primarily applications are in solid state sciences of current interests, such as new electronic and magnetic materials, thin films, nano-materials, and surface and interface structure.

教材:主要採用“An Introduction to Synchrotron Radiation - Techniques and Applications” by Phillip Willmott (Wiley 2011),另輔以自編教材。 教學方法: 以課堂講授為主,另安排一次國家同步輻射研究中心實地參訪。 評量方法: 筆試 60%,作業及報告 40%。
