The course intends to offer the basics and advanced materials about project scheduling and control. The key techniques introduced in this course include work breakdown structure, bar chart, critical path method (i.e., CPM, both Arrow-Diagramming Method and Precedence Diagramming Method), resource leveling, time-cost tradeoff, PERT (Program Evaluation and Review Technique), and construction claim analysis for schedule delay.

1.Midterm exam and final exam (60%), homework and team project report (both midterm and final reports) (40%) 2.One to two persons form a project team. The intermediate reports will be required according to the class schedule with annotation of each person’s contribution percentage. Different contribution percentages are required. 3.Homework and intermediate reports need to be hand in by the specified deadline. For a delay of every one day, a 5% will be discounted from the original score for the hand-in. No score will be obtained if the delay is more than one week. Discussion either within the team group or between the groups is welcome. However, plagiarism is strictly prohibited and will obtain zero score for any team member involved.
