We shall introduce the basic principle of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Spin-spin coupling, followed by spectroscopy analysis and calculation of coupling constants and chemical shifts。Moreover, we shall discuss double resonance experiments and learn how to do structural analysis based on NMR spectroscopy. Relaxation time, one-D experiment using complex pulse sequences, and two-D experiments will also be covered。If time is allowed, we shall also introduce NOE and Dynamic NMR.

The course material is mainly from textbook 1 and partly from textbook 2. The teacher uses E3 website, PowerPoint files, black board writing, and personal notes in his teaching. 採用教科書兩本、E3平台、PowerPoint以及黑板書寫等方法,搭配課程講義。
There will be 4 homework (7% each) with a total of 28% in credits. Midterm exam (35%), Final exam (35%), and Attendance and Attitude (2%). 學期將有4次作業每次7%,總共佔28%。期中考佔35%,期末考佔35%,出席以及上課態度2%。
