Numerical methods are extremely powerful problem-solving tools, especially when we need to handle large systems of linear or nonlinear equations, and complicated system simulation, which are not uncommon in real world engineering. The goal of this course is for you to learn the concepts of numerical methods and how to use them to solve engineering problems. The topics covered in this course include: (1) roots finding, (2) linear algebraic equations, (3) curve fitting, (4) numerical differentiation and integration, (5) ordinary differential equations and (3) optimization.
