This course introduces the international financial environment including the international financial instruments and the exchange rate market. Thus, students will have the basic knowledge about the managerial aspects of international financial management. In addition, this course helps students to be familiar with the international business relationship and further provides them to know how the multional companies can prevent the risk of exchange rate in this market. There are three parts in this course: a. the international financial environment; b. exchange rate behavior and exchange rate risk management; c. short-term asset and liability management and long-term asset and liability management.
Students are expected to have the basic knowledge of financial management or statistics.
Description of Course Details: 1. Exams and Quizzes: Two exams: Mid-term exam and Final exam. 2. Evaluation and Grading Policy: In-class performance:20% (students’attendance is counted); Mid-term exam: 40%; Final exam: 40%. 3. Pedagogy and other supplementary information (websites, TAs, handouts and/or databases): The materials of this course I will put on the e-Campus (e3).
