To mimic and understand the collective dynamics arising from the real world problems. In the first semester, we will focus on the epidemic models and flocking models.

Advanced Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems.

Each student has to read at least two papers and gives a detailed presentation for what are in the papers. Some discussions for future directions are to be conducted by students following the presentation of the paper.

Some classical papers and recent papers are to be assigned for students to read.
