概述

This class aims to transfer research reality to graduate students by introducing and explaining the progress in laser manipulation and fabrication studies on organic and bio matter. The fundamental concept of light-matter interaction giving optical force, molecular electronic excitation, and their following electronic processes are summarized, and necessary methods of spectroscopy and microscopy are presented. Laser manipulation of microparticles and nanoparticles is explained and its extension to “Optical Tweezers in Chemistry” is discussed. Also, electronic and molecular mechanism of laser fabrication is proposed and its applications to bio matter are introduced.
