Digital TV Production is a very interesting course: This course will start from the following topics: the technological history of TV; the cultural perspective of TV; the essence of TV News; other genres of TV programs, and several hands-on opportunities of making TV news and programs. And the students will put their video clips on the YouTube for public viewing. This is a course of theories and practices. This course will be a good preparation for those who want to work in the TV stations and on the web. THE PURPOSE OF THIS COURSE IS TO HELP THE STUDENTS TO LEARN FROM PRACTICE, TO KNOW THE TRAITS OF DIGITAL TV PROGRAMS AND THE PROCESSES OF TV PRODUCTION. 數位電視製作 (DIGITAL TV PRODUCTION) 是一門很有趣的課程: 從電視的歷史談起,旁及電視的文化層面, 電視新聞的製作要領、其他各種電視節目類型的了解與製作,再加上實際動手做幾個節目,並將它們放在網路上展示,是一個理論兼具實務的課程, 對將來在媒體及網路上工作,都是很好的預備課程。 本課程旨在讓所有學者自做中學,認識數位電視節目的特性與產製過程以及其衍生的研究議題,以便學者未來從事電視製作與網際網路各項應用的工作。

作業部份: TV industry is a teamwork industry, so each of the following assignments should be done in a team (3-5 students as a team): 1. Follow a group of TV station crew for one day (600 word reflection) 2. Each team is supposed to make :3 short video clips (TV news or others) 3. Each team is supposed to make :1 term production (can be MTV, documentary, travel and Living, soap opera, variety show, war history,,,etc.) N.B.: It's better to target your video works to a certain national or international competition, so that you can earn some award money and find a great job in the future . 考試部份: None 評量部份: Program prospectus (提線) 10% News Assignments 30% Term production 30% Attendance (class discussion,....) 30%
