設計個別研究

Independent Study on Design (ISD) serves to guide graduate students in their creation and research. Students are required to come up with their own research methods through literature analysis, as well as examine their own creative and research contexts to link with relevant theories. The course is mainly conducted through three phases: 1. Construction of research method. 2. Linkage between creative practice and theoretical development. 3. Literature discussion and thesis writing for research direction. Designate relevant literature reading according to a student’s direction in their creation and research, examine the context between themselves and related creators/researchers, discover differences, and form an awareness to the main problems in the paper. Write a research paper or creative discourse 10,000-15,000 words in length mainly in English, which will be published in the classroom for discussion and used for practice in using spoken English to publish findings. Submit to a relevant international seminar for publication. 設計個別研究(Independent Study on Design, ISD)以指導研究生發展個人創作與研究為主目標,要求學生透過文獻研讀,建構自身研究方法,並檢視自身創作與研究脈絡,與相關理論連結。課程主要以三階段進行:1. 研究者研究方法建構。2. 研究者創作實踐與理論發展連結 。3. 研究方向文獻探討與論文書寫。選修此課程者以指導生優先,於期末完成一篇英文論文,並投稿國際研討會發表。 1. 根據學生創作與研究方向,指定相關文獻閱讀,並檢視自身與相關創作者/研究者的脈絡,尋找差異,構成論文主要的問題意識。 2. 撰寫約10000-15000字研究論文或創作論述,以英文為主要撰寫語言,於課堂發表,共同討論,練習口語發表外語論文的能力。 3. 投稿至相關國際研討會發表。

Those who take this course shall primarily guide students, complete an English thesis at the end of the period, and submit it to an international seminar for publication.

Grades are based on individual meeting participation, assignment completion, and the quality of work.

.A weekly meeting is scheduled for every Wednesday at 14:20-17:20 p.m. .Class meetings will be determined by the student and the instructor. Attendance is expected at every class meeting.
