大一英文(二)

Freshman English II is an integrated 4-skill (listening, speaking, reading, & writing) language curriculum with a focus on reading and writing. This course will address reading and paragraph writing while supporting the communicative skills addressed in the first semester. In this course, students will:  Develop critical reading skills,  Engage in reflection on readings,  Apply insights gained from readings,  Orally paraphrase and summarize texts, and reflect on the texts in oral discussion,  Write complete paragraphs with topic sentences, relevant supporting details, transition words, and concluding sentences,  Continue to develop listening and speaking skills.

For writing assignments a. 2 paragraph writings, a minimum of 200 words each; b. Choose the topics from the textbook units. Consult the Writing sections, follow the directions and write 2 passages for each assignment. Writing evaluation form will be posted on E3 and introduced in the first class. c. 1st writing is due in class on 5/1, please type your writing. 2nd writing will be done in class on 6/12.
