1. Participation is required in any English class; reading and writing courses need your active thinking and participation, too. Silent and inactive sit-ins, sleeping, or using cell phones in class will make your participation credits suffer or not to be granted. (*No free points for ‘participation’!) 2. Various activities that require students’ participation, and so attendance is very important. Absence up to six hours will make your semester grade suffer. Absence may be authorized under exceptional circumstances, if a proof of justifiable reason can be provided. 3. Always bring the textbook, A4 loose-leaf paper or paper notebook, to keep your learning record. 4. "Attendance Policy", "Assignment submission Policy" & "Participation Rule": please refer to New e3 for more details.
1. Attendance and participation 10% (No free points for 'participation!) 2. Quizzes 30% (2 quizzes, and each quiz will test you on two text contents.) 3.
