This course aims to give a comprehensive introduction on fundamental physics, including mechanics, oscillations and mechanical waves, thermodynamics, electricity and magnetism, light and optics, and modern physics. It is hoped that students taking this course will obtain the ability of asking right questions and trying to solve them from the very fundamental principles and physical laws.

Lectures will include Blackboard writings and Powerpoint presentations. There will be TA's for grading homeworks and take questions from students.
The grade will be given according to the following performance: 3 midterm exams (60%), homework (30%), quizzes and class attendance (10%)
