(中文) 本課程介紹通訊信號傳輸之基礎理論與基本技術,是欲了解通訊工程者必備的基礎知識。課程內容以介紹類比訊號傳輸方法及其效能分析為主,也以部分時間介紹數位通訊技術。雖然近年來,通訊系統逐漸愈趨數位化,但本課程所介紹有關類比通訊的各種觀念及數學工具,其實仍是了解數位通訊的重要基礎。本課程與後續的「數位通訊原理」形成內容連續之二學期課程;透過修習這兩門課,可對通訊工程的基要有較完整的認識。但本課程在規劃上,並不假設學生會修習上述第二學期課程。 (English) This course introduces basic theory and basic techniques for communication signal transmission. Such material is the fundamental knowledge that anyone who desires to understand communication engineering must possess. The course concentrates on introducing analog signal transmission methods and their performance analysis, but also spends some time introducing digital communication technology. Although in recent years, digital communication becomes more and more prevalent, the various concepts and mathematical tools introduced in this course concerning analog communication nevertheless constitute the essential foundation for understanding of digital communication. This course, together with its sequel “Principles of Digital Communication,” form a two-semester curriculum with connected contents. A more complete understanding of the fundamentals of communication engineering can be acquired by taking both these courses. But the organization of the present course does not assume that students will also take the above second-semester course.
