創業實務(英文授課)

This course will cover wide ranges of subjects and issues related to the challenges and potential risks which you might encounter during the journey of establishing a New Venture. Topics such as raising capital, new venture management, and IPO or M&A will be discussed. Our goal is to let students to understand how those entrepreneurs work from the venture idea forming through each stage of the new venture they try to establish. Through this course, we hope to create a multi-disciplined learning and stimulating environment for the students. By blending entrepreneurship, technologies, traditional industries, business and management together, hopefully, the course will provide various perspectives to the students. We expect to see students from both engineering and business schools.

1. Introduction to Computer Science (preferred/helpful but not required) 2. Students are welcome from Science & Technology, Business, and Management background.

This is an upper-level undergraduate and graduate-level "seminars course" and will be conducted by English. It will be highly interactive with lots of discussions during the class. All students will be expected to actively participate (presentations) during the class discussions. Each student will be assigned to present paper(s) (suggested by the instructors) during the entire course. There will be no mid-term and final examinations, but students need to have term papers (a business plan from a team) to present orally as a part of mid-term and final activities. 1. Homework Each student will work with his/her classmates to form a group to do the team project during the semester. Each group will have 2~3 members. 2.
