Students are trained to write with grammatically correct sentences to form easily understood paragraphs or essays. Besides, they are required to analyze different modes of writing and the writing techniques used in each model essay depicted in the text book. In each chapter, reading precedes writing, which provides inspiration as well as instruction for actual writing tasks that follow.
Lecturing, in class writing, group discussion, and oral presentation.
Assignments: Students should 1. write 4 essays or paragraphs with a pre-writing, an outline and peer-editing. 2. read textbook according to syllabus and answer questions to quiz given the following week; 3. peer edit other classmates' work. Final Exam: Students are required to write an essay with a pre-writing, an outline with the thesis statement,and a peer-editing. Standard of Evaluation: Peer-editing 10% Final Exam and quizzes 30% Written assignment 40% Oral presentation 20%
