Cryptography is the study of techniques for achieving security against certain adversaries in tasks such as communication, delegation, authentication, and so on. This course provides a survey of both the principles and practice of cryptography and network security. Basic mathematical results from probability, number theory, finite fields will be also covered so that that the students can have a better understanding of the cryptographic algorithms based on mathematical theory and computational assumptions.
