入門華語(二)

Learn in class, use after class. After taking this course, you will be able to do basic conversation when shopping, talking about vacation, hobbies and transportation.

Students should already have basic knowledge for Mandarin, including the Pinyin rules, recognizing basic Hanzi, knowing how to introduce themselves and families, being able to describe their feelings with simple sentences in Chinese. (Or students who has already taken introductory Chinese 1 and learned“A Course in Contemporary Chinese 1” lesson 1-3.)

There will be lots of oral practices in the class and writing tasks after class. We hope the students can learn how to speak in an interesting yet efficient way, and increase their confident in learning Chinese. There will be lots of interactions with classmates in the class. So hopefully students come with the willingness to speak. *Special Notice: Students who attend the class must be present in the first week. Abesence due to necessity has to be informed via e-mail to the teacher before the semester begins. Anyone who does not show up in the first week will be dropped out from the course. *The syllabus can be modified during the semester depending on the student's learning situation.
