This course is to stress the design aspect of digit integrated circuits. We will begin with an overview of the fundamental CMOS VLSI design. Then, several data path modules such as adder and multiplier will be discussed in details. Finally, special topics of low-power design techniques that are very important in modern digital IC will be discussed. The students are assumed to have knowledge of logic design, microelectronics and basic VLSI design. Also the tools used in this course is circuit simulator SPICE and a basic knowledge of Verilog. Throughout learning this course, students will have a solid background and knowledge of Digital IC design.
