This is a course emphasizing new ideas, topics, cutting edge research/technology, useful skills, and experience sharing by invited weekly presentations.
None.
A. No chatting (except about the presentation) and sleeping/snoring during all presentations. B. All students are required to sign out after each presentation (there will be 4 sign out stamps to stamp simultaneously). C. More than 2 absences will result in failure of this course. D. More than 5 late to classes (after each presenter introduction begins) count as 1 absence. E. For all quarantined students, a 300-word report of any academic presentation (must be over 90 mins) send to any of the TAs is required every week during quarantine. F. For students who are quarantined in other countries and can't attend any of the sessions, total 8 reports are required to pass this course (80 points for the final score). 8 points will be given for every extra report. G. Final roll call of students who have both report and presentation attendance will be calculated by applying an equivalent ratio of 4:5 from report to attendance and round up to an integer.
