The goal of this class is to familiarize students with both the theory and practice of multinational financial management and to address the issues encountered by multinational financial managers such as foreign exchange rate exposure, international capital budgeting, and country risk analysis. After this class, students are expected to apply the knowledge in international financial environment, foreign exchange risk management, and short-term/long-term financing for multinational companies to their future careers in corporations with international operations/transactions. In addition, this class is an introductory course for graduate students who expect to conduct research in international finance/business or related fields. We will start with the survey of the studies in international finance/business. More detailed topics in related fields will also be discussed. This course will help you to develop basic research skills in international finance/business.
Class participation home work / case presentation: 40% Mid-term exam: 30% Final exam or term project and Presentation: 30%
