Today's fiercest business battles are taking place between competitor’s global supply chains. As long as a company touches a physical product, it is part of a supply chain—and the company’s success ultimately hangs on the weakest link in that chain. Only through logistic efficiency and effective management of the operations and supply chain, a business can achieve the twin goals of cost reduction and service enhancement. This course would assist the student to get an overall understanding of operations and supply chain management. The course materials consist of three parts: (1) strategic planning and improvement of supply chains, (2) logistics and supply chain operations, and (3) supply chain design and emerging issues. In addition to the text materials, real-world examples and case studies will be covered as well.
Business Management A non-GMBA student, who would take this course, must meet ALL the following conditions. 1. Is currently a graduate student. 2. Had a minimum of one year full-time work experience. 3. Is approved by the lecturer.
