Learning science is an interdisciplinary approach that includes domain knowledge, instructional design, e-learning, educational psychology, cognitive psychology, statistics, and data science. Learning science promotes the improvement of teaching and learning mechanisms based on evidence. By doing so, Learning science can try to solve a mismatch between school education and practical ability. This course leads students to understand the theory of learning science and emphasizes the benefits of the longitudinal study of learning science. When we can grasp the past, present, and future of education, we can use this to think about the mechanism and process between teaching and learning, and then develop strategies to improve learning effectiveness. Course targets: 1. Study the literature in the field of learning science, explore core issues, and build relevant knowledge. 2. Understand the combination of longitudinal data and analysis techniques and discover research topics related to learning science. 3. Ability to collect and analyze longitudinal data and complete the design of the research proposal.
