概述

The topics include introduction of major biochemical molecules, such as proteins, DNA, RNA, and sugars, diseases and cancer, immune, brain, psychology, DNA technology, genetic engineering, drug production, mechanisms and side effects of drugs. In addition to correlating biochemistry to human health and diseases, the course also intends to inspire students toward creative thinking.

none, but prior knowledge of Biology or Biochemistry will help understanding. 無要求先修科目。

評分方式

Lecture in English, and teaching materials are presented by Powerpoint Assisted by notes on e3 and teaching films Students are encouraged to ask questions when you cannot understand. Grades are based on the final reports (~62 %) and class participation (~38 %). The latter includes the presence in the class and participation in the activities and discussion.
