概述

This course contains two topics in the Computer Aided Design (CAD) system – Optimization and Computer Graphics. For optimization, the following topics will be taught, line search, non-constrained as well as constrained optimization, and advanced optimization searching algorithms. In the computer graphics, the following topics will be covered in this course, the introduction to display hardware, 2D viewing algorithms including transformation, windows, viewports, and clipping, introduction to 3D perspective graphics, modeling curves, hidden surface elimination, and basic illumination as well as smooth shading, user interface, virtual reality, and applications related to Civil Engineering.
