This course is intended for chemistry majors. The course is intended to expand the student’s knowledge base in inorganic chemistry by learning fundamental aspects including structures, chemical bonding, molecular orbitals, and reactivity of (inorganic) molecules. The mathematics of symmetry is applied to chemical issues, such as bonding, and spectroscopy. Organometallic chemistry and catalysis are also introduced.
students should have taken or completed general chemistry, organic chemistry, and inorganic chemistry (I) prior to enrolling in this course.

Grading: 3 exams, 120 pts for each. For undergraduates, you need to have 180 pts in total to pass this course.
