概述

We assume that the students are familiar with basic digital communication knowledge as those presented in Chapters 5 and 6 of Simon Haykin's Communication Systems. We shall 1. Introduce the basic principles, requirements and available techniques for building a reliable and efficient digital communication system. 2. Outline methodologies and criteria for analyzing the behaviors of candidate transmission and receive techniques and systems. Interplay amongst various building blocks and that between system analysis and system engineering will be emphasized.
