This main goal of this course will be focusing on the fundamental principles and latest applications of solar cells. Different photovoltaic materials, cell structures and systems will be introduced. The purposes are threefold: (1) to give students the general understanding of solar cells including history, principles, materials and applications, (2) to provide students introduction of latest photovoltaic technologies, and (3) to give students opportunities to search and review the progress and status of worldwide solar cell industries.
