This is a content-language integrated English course that aims to explore the beauty and excitement of entrepreneurship and meanwhile to enhance students English listening, speaking, reading, writing, and vocabulary skills. We will explore what entrepreneurship is and how to become a successful entrepreneur by viewing and reading a variety of authentic materials in this regard. Students will also engage in numerous cooperative and interactive learning activities in-and-out of classes.
[*** NO PAPER-AND-PENCIL MID-TERM AND FINAL EXAM] 1. Attendance: One point will be deducted for each absence unless a 20-minute speaking entry is submitted and In-class participation (40%) 2. Facebook WEEKLY reading/listening + comment writing post: 15 reading/listening + comment writing posts about entrepreneurship are required. The comments should include: (1) vocabulary learned (English and Chinese meaning), (2) useful or interesting quote excerpt from the source, (3) your reflection (30%) 3. Facebook WEEKLY speaking diary post: 15 speaking diary about entrepreneurship are required (30%)
