這門課是醫學倫理與法律的入門課。雖然近年來人工智慧、大數據、基因編輯等科技發展引發許多倫理疑慮,但追根究底都跟隱私、生命、身體自主及人性尊嚴等核心價值的衝突有關。這些核心價值面臨科技的衝擊不是頭一遭,每一次的遭遇,都會促使我們更深刻地反省這些核心價值的意義,確保它們歷久彌新又能與時俱進。因此我們會從末期照護、基因檢測與篩檢、生育、器官移植等比較成熟的議題,先引導學生反省這些核心價值在當代與科技衝擊下的意義,再帶領同學反思人工智慧、大數據、基因編輯等新科技對這些核心價值的衝擊與意義,並且尋找新的界限。 課程結束時,希望同學能夠磨練出以下能力: 1. 對倫理的敏感度 2. 價值衝突的分析能力與解決能力 3. 呈現自己價值立場的論述能力 4. 彼此傾聽與對話的能力 This is an introductory course for bioethics and law. We will start with classic cases in bioethics to help student understand the development and core values of bioethics, and move on to reflect upon how we should maintain the core values of bioethics in development of of big data, artificial intelligence and CRISPR. By the end of the course, we how that students can be more sensitive toward potential ethical issues, be more able to present ethical arguments, and be more able to listen to different opinions with better ability for ethical diagolue.
