透過法醫學簡介、法醫病理與死因鑑定等一系列課程讓學生對法醫及鑑定有一個初步的認識。教學目的在於藉由醫學的專門知識來鑑定犯罪的證據,或鑑定其它有關法律上、社會公義上有爭議性的醫學事件,以提供司法或檢察人員鑑識結果以做為公正裁判之依據。同時讓學生們了解臨床醫師有時也會接觸到相關法律問題,此時可以有大概的知識來應對和判斷。The goal of this course is to enable students to understand the basis of Legal Medicine as well as the Forensic Medicine, including the Forensic Pathology, Forensic Toxicology, Forensic Genetics, Forensic Anthropology, Forensic Psychiatrics and Criminal Investigation Procedure. Reviewing the Medico-legal Investigation Cases, the knowledges of legal medicine are enable medical studies to recognize the evidences of forensic pathology as well as forensic science can be used as tools to collaborated with clinical medicine and understand the cause of death including the nature, accidence, suicide and homicide. During the practical tests of medicolegal cases, learning the the mechanism of deaths, biomechanical, forensic, toxico-pharmacological and its interpretations, that can be applied during clinical practices and explanation of premortem signs and symptoms. The final goal is to establish the vision of a medical doctor during their clinical practitioner to understand the legal medicine and law, that how to protect the people's health through rational use of legal medicines for the benefits to the patients and medical personnel.
