This course starts from using quantum mechanics to explore the fundamental properties of atoms and molecules. Then the fundamental knowledge will be extended to investigate the macroscopic phenomena of the three states of matter. Finally, we will study the three laws of thermodynamics, which govern the nature of the equilibrium phenomena. The course will provide a solid chemistry foundation, which can lead the students an easy access to the advanced chemistry lessons.
