Through authentic models of effective communication demonstrated by the instructor and TED Talks on diverse topics, this course leads students to build the following mindset and skill set to achieve future academic and personal success. (1) presentation mentality, literacy, and skills (2) fundamental know-how about slide design (3) cohesive visualization of coherent arguments

1. [15%] 3 group presentations (5% each) 2. [15%] 3 individual presentations (5% each) 3. [30%] 6 weekly quizzes on assigned TED Talks (5% each) 4. [10%] Mid-term Post-it workshop on the final presentation 5. [10%] Dry-run for the final presentation 6. [20%] Final presentation (=10% peer evaluation + 10% instructor's evaluation)
