人機互動概論

Introduction to Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) will provide you with the fundamentals of user-centered design (UCD) in within the broad field of HCI. In this course, you will complete individual assignments and a course-long group design project. This class emphasizes personal, individual, experiential communion with the material. My hope is that rather than learning facts, you will gain personal insight into what HCI is and how User-Centered Design functions, what it means to your life, and what it means to society more largely. It is also my hope that you will leave this class with increased self-efficacy, increased confidence in your innate creative abilities, and with a personal definition of what UX design means to the world, and to your own life. As with all courses, participation is an essential component of this course. Because of the pedagogical approach to the material -- one emphasizing experiential and active engagement with the concepts we read about, i.e., in-class activities and many smaller activities
