傳播研究方法

本課程旨在介紹社會科學及傳播領域的科學理論和研究方法。學生將學習科學探究的系統性歷程,以及多種研究設計及研究方法的原理及應用,並應用本課程學習的研究方法完成一項自己感興趣的小型研究論文,以培養同學對科學事實的批判性分析及詮釋能力。 The public often obtains science information from the media, yet very few of them have the ability to discern true from false information. What is science and why does it matter? Starting from these questions, the course is designed to answer them by introducing the theory of science and research methods about doing research in the communication and social sciences. Students will learn the systematic inquiry process in social science as well as the principle and application of research design and methods, which will allow you to more critically analyze and interpret the scientific facts about the social world. Students are also required to apply these research methods to conduct a research of their interest and complete a mini research paper at the end of the semester.
