博士班論文研討A

We will invite renowned local and international scholars to give academic speeches. Subjects of speeches are current research topics on financial market, corporate finance, novel financial products, and methodologies in finance. This course is aiming to provide students a better understanding of the leading and current research topics of various fields in finance. The students will have a chance to discuss with the speakers.

The invited speakers will present the academic papers and lead the discussion about the financial issues and problems. The students will have a chance to discuss research issues with the speakers. Course materials will be provided by speakers and distributed each week before class. Class materials will be posted on the e3 system (e3.nctu.edu.tw).

For 1st- and 2nd-year students Paper Summary (50%)(One page summary for each speech) Class Participation and Performance (50%)(2 questions are required) For 3rd-year and above Paper Summary (25%)(One page summary for each speech) Class Participation and Performance (25%)(2 questions are required) Presentation (50%) (All 3rd-year and above are required to present their research proposals (20 minutes in English))
