個別研究

This course aims to facilitate students' own research, art, media, or curatorial projects and is designed to work with my advisees. Students who take this course for the first time: Please write me an email, introduce yourself to me, and obtain my permission before taking the course. Students interested in pursuing a research project, an art project, film/media project or curational project in the above or related fields are very welcome to work with me. I will train students to horn their research skills, including analytical reading, analytical writing, theory analysis, film/art/media analysis, building up a bibliography /or filmography, etc., so that students can work on their M.A. theses, Ph.D. dissertations, film/art/media projects, or curatorial projects and complete them in a timely fashion. Those interested in taking this course should contact me via email no later than the first week of the semester. Please introduce yourself to me and let me know your research interests. Our work will begin from there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 本課程目標為協助個別同學依據自己的興趣學習做研究,以完成自己的博士與碩士論文, 或電影、錄像、攝影、或其他媒體與藝術形式、或策展作品。課程設計原則為授課教師與其指導學生所做的獨立研究課程。*因此要請修課學生第一次修此課前,先寫信自我介紹,得到同意之後再選修。* 我會依據個別學生的專長與興趣,培養學生建立紮實的獨立研究根底與能力,比如結構性地讀書、嚴謹地從頭學習讀理論、書寫理論分析/文獻分析/藝術與媒體文本分析等等,以建立自己研究的知識基礎或藝術創作思想基礎等。若是在大學時期無影像與媒體研究基礎的學生,若學生有需求,我亦會協助培養修課學生建立影像與媒體的識讀與分析能力。 請有興趣修課的學生在最遲在學期開始的第一週與我聯繫,並介紹自己的研究興趣。我們的工作會由此開始。

Depending on students ' work progress, I will meet with students individually and around 4 times per semester. *Students who take this course should initiate their meetings with me.* Those who take this course are expected to send me reading notes, film/media/art notes, research notes, etc., at least three days before our meetings. If students send out their notes later than expected, then our meeting will be postponed automatically for a week. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 本課目標為協助授課教師所指導之研究生獨立完成自己的研究與創作,並在自己規劃的時間表內有效率地完成碩博士論文、藝術作品/媒體作品/影像/策展作品。確切的課程內容與進行方式將據修課學生的興趣與能力而決定。

 修課同學必須是本獨立研究課程的主動的參與者。授課教師則以其研究專長與經驗,引導與培養學生學術研究與創作的能力。換言之,修課同學必須主動積極,願意學習,清楚自己的研究興趣是什麼,並且勤奮認真。 原則上,授課教師每個月與學生會談一次,一個學期共約4次。但實際會面頻率依個別同學需求與能力而決定,*由修課學生主動與老師聯繫*。 請修課同學最遲在每次會談日的 *三天前* 將寫好之研究筆記、文獻分析筆記、影像/媒體/藝術分析筆記等,以電子郵件先寄給老師。若寄出筆記時間延遲,則會面順延一週。
