本門課程將介紹常見的研究方法,包含質化與量化方法。透過閱讀並討論若干管理學的期刊文章,本門課程將觸及研究方法的相關議題,如方法的選擇、資料搜集、分析和寫作。本門課程也會討論不容忽視的研究倫理議題。修課後的研究生、或者大三、大四對從事學術研究有興趣的同學,應具備選擇並應用研究方法於個人研究的能力。

這門課的互動性高,期待同學在課堂前事先閱讀指定材料,並於課堂上積極發言。同學之間也必須養成尊重他人、包容意見、提出建設性回饋的習慣,在練習表達能力的同時也可以從彼此學習。
1. 學期作業: (1) 每週個人閱讀心得:於第二週開始,同學需在課程當週週二 21:00 前將 500 (±10%) 字心得(不含引用文獻)以 pdf 檔(另請標註學號、姓名) email 給助教。一律不接受遲交。 (2) 個人期末報告:同學需在期末時繳交一份 4,000 (±10%) 字(不含引用文獻)的研究計畫。本計畫應包含下列內容: a. 一個清楚定義的研究問題(需有相關的文獻回顧),可以是同學的碩士論文題目,也可以是個人有興趣的題目。 b. 在文獻回顧、研究問題之後,同學需在報告中指出為了解決該問題,所要採取的研究方法。 c. 同學也需指出預計蒐集的資料來源,以及日後預計採取的分析方法。 d. 報告也應有研究簡介、結論與適當的引用格式。 e. 除了書面報告外,同學需在第 17-18 週輪流上臺報告個人的研究計畫。報告時間 15 分鐘,並另有 10-15 分鐘的 Q&A 時間。 2.考試狀況:無考試。 3.評量方法:每週個人閱讀心得 (30%), 個人期末報告 (50%), 課堂參與 (20%). 個人期末報告的評分方式:研究方法的選擇(包含與研究問題的相關性) (40%), 資料蒐集與分析計畫(包含可行性) (30%), 研究計畫整體的邏輯與表達方式 (30%).
